The length of time it takes will depend on how regular your periods were before your pregnancy. It’s worth seeing your GP for advice if your periods haven’t returned after four to six weeks and your cycle was regular before your pregnancy.

There are no firm guidelines about when you can try to get pregnant again, although it’s often recommended that you wait until you’ve had at least one regular period. It’s also important to be sure you’re emotionally ready to try for another pregnancy after a miscarriage.
